Basic knowledge of crochet is needed for this course. It’s no secret that I love creating garment patterns and I just had to create a granny square cardigan course. It’s also a great addition to your wardrobe. Have you ever wanted to make crochet cardigans but haven’t a clue where to start? This 2-session course will teach you how to design and make your own granny square cardigan from start to finish. This technique can be used for any future cardigan Workshop 1 - Saturday 5th September 2026 - Learn the secrets of designing your granny square cardigan using a simple template. From here I will help you work out the amount of granny squares you will need to make for your garment depending on your size. - Help and advice will be given on choosing your colours that work well together and suit you! - Make up a sample granny square from my yarn stash to see what colours work and don’t! - How to join your granny squares up to make panels (ie. Sleeves, front and back) - Knowledge about blocking your panels after they are made up (before sewing them together). - From home, you will then make your granny square panels and return for workshop 2! PLEASE NOTE – Yarn for your own cardigan will be bought and supplied by you. You will be able to buy and order your yarn from us where we have a large selection of colours and brands or from a recommended yarn shop after the first workshop. Workshop 2 – Saturday 17th October 2026 - Joining your granny square panels together that you have made at home to create your cardigan. - Applying a border and edging to finish your cardigan. - Tidying up loose ends - And VOILA!!!! A finished garment to wear and be proud of! BASIC Crochet skills will be needed for this course. Plus tea/coffee and homemade cake! Cost - £89
