FULLY BOOKED! Come and discover the lovely world of filet crochet in this relaxed and friendly workshop. If you already know how to crochet and are ready to try something a little different, this workshop will introduce you to the wonderful art of creating pictures, motifs and pretty patterns using just stitches and spaces. Together, we’ll learn how to read and follow a filet crochet chart, understand how the little squares work, and turn those simple symbols into beautiful crochet designs. You’ll be guided step by step, with plenty of time to practise and ask questions along the way. You’ll learn how to: • Read and understand a filet crochet chart • Follow a pattern row by row • Create the open and filled squares that make up a design • Understand how stitches and spaces create pictures and motifs • Gain confidence working from crochet charts • Start thinking about how you can create your own patterns and designs This is a lovely opportunity to slow down, enjoy your crochet and learn a new skill in a friendly, creative setting. Please note: You’ll need to be comfortable with basic crochet and able to crochet independently. This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners.
